The Ocean

The ocean is certainly much deeper, in fact, beyond our imagination. Even if we put all the islands and continents of the whole earth together and put them in the deepest parts of the ocean, the whole earth and all its goods would sink to a depth of two miles in the sea. About 75% of our Earth is water and the remaining 25% is dry land. How deep is the sea? How many creatures are there in the depths of the ocean? How far can mango in the depths of the sea with the necessary tools? How far can sunlight reach the sea? How deep is the wreckage of the Titanic that sank in 1912? And if the world's tallest building, the “BurjKhalifa”, and the world's highest mountain, “Mount Everest”, were thrown into the sea, would they sink into the sea?  You will find the answer to all these things in our blog today.

Friends, to understand the depth of the ocean, we start at a depth of 40 meters above sea level, which is a limit for recreational scuba. No one can scuba dive deeper than this. A little further down I mean at a depth of 93 meters we discovered the wreckage of the ship "Lusitania". This is quite an interesting fact because the length of this ship was 240 meters, which means that it sank to a depth less than its length, and because of its inclination, some of it was out of the sea and some part of it was found immersed in it. A little further down I mean the depth of 100 meters is the depth where if you don't have safety precautions, sea diving can be fatal for you, and "decompression sickness" can kill you. However, even this limit of diving did not stop a man named "Herbert Nitsch", and he set a world record by going to a depth of 214 meters in the sea. A little further down I mean at a depth of 332 meters we find the limit where the world record for scuba diving is, which was set by a man named "Ahmed Gabbar". If they went a little further down, I mean 111 meters; it would be as deep as the height of the "Empire State" building. At a further depth of 500 meters, we reach the point of diving into the "blue whale", the largest creature on our planet. At a further depth of 535 meters, we reach the point where the "penguins" dive. And this is where we have to take into account the intensity of the water pressure. The water pressure at this point above sea level is as high for a human being as it is for a polar bear to stand on a coin. At a depth of 830 meters, we reach the same depth as the “Burj Khalifa” in Dubai, which is currently the tallest building in the world. When we reach a depth of 1000 meters above sea level, this is the part of the ocean called the "scary zone", light cannot reach this part of the ocean. So this place is completely dark, and the pressure of the water you will have to face here will be so much that suppose you are standing on "Planet Venus", I mean instant death. Even if you escape the pressure of the water when you reach this part of the ocean, you have enough to kill the "giant squids" here.

At a further depth of 1280 meters, we reach the point where “sea turtles” dive. Further down, I mean at a depth of 1828 meters, we reach a depth equal to the deepest valley in the world called "Grand Canyon". At a further depth of 2000 meters, we encounter some scary and dangerous sea creatures, for example, "Black Dragon Fish", a carnivorous creature from which light cannot pass through. This means that if we are in darkness in the depths of the ocean, the only way to see it is to use a flashlight. Going further down that means at a depth of 2250 meters we reach the point where the sea creatures "sperm whale" and "colossal squid" dive.  Sperm whales often have fight marks on their bodies that fall on them when they are fighting a colossal squid, which occurs in the depths of the ocean. Further down I mean at a depth of 3800 meters we find the wreckage of the famous ship "Titanic". Going even further down to a depth of 4000 meters, we reach this part of the ocean called the "Abyssal Zone". And here the water pressure reaches 11,000 per square inch. And about this part of the ocean, scientists say that there are alien-like creatures, such as "Fing Tooth", "Angler Fish" and "Viper Fish". Friends further down the depth of 4267 meters is the average depth of the sea, where you can usually reach the depth of the sea. But there are also specific parts of the ocean that are much deeper.  At a depth of 4,791 meters, there is the wreckage of a warship named “Bismarck”. This was immersed in “World War II”. Below that, I mean, at a depth of 6,000 meters, there is a sea area called the "Hadal Zone".  The water pressure here is 11,000 times higher than the sea level. You can estimate how high this pressure is by assuming that an elephant is standing on a post stamp, or that a human is carrying 50 planes. Without any safety measures at this depth, the water pressure will crush you. Surprisingly, life here also exists in different and strange forms. Friends, at a depth of 6,500 meters is the limit where a famous research submarine called "DHV Elven" arrived, and it helped to find the Titanic. Further down I mean at a depth of 8848 meters we reach as deep as the height of the world's highest mountain "Mount Everest".  I mean, if you invert the world's highest mountain, Mount Everest, and sink it into the sea; you won't know where it went. Even further down, I mean at a depth of 10898 meters we get to where the submarine "James Cameron" landed in 2012. The goal was to complete the Deep Sea Challenge. Friends, the deepest part of human history was discovered in 1960. When the two men "Dawn Walls" and "Jacques Spicard" reached the depth of 10916 meters with the help of their submarines. It took them five hours to reach this depth from sea level, and they could only stay here for 20 minutes because the glass of their submarine was broken, so they had to go back to sea level immediately. Further down I mean the depth of 10972 meters is equal to the average altitude of a commercial airline. And friends, when we finally reach a depth of 10994 meters, we reach the deepest part of the ocean that has been discovered so far. This section is called the "Mariana Trench" and is located in the Pacific Ocean. It is important to remember that this is the deepest part of the ocean to be discovered. And so far we humans have only discovered 5% of the ocean, while 95% remains to be discovered. Maybe in the future, we will explore even deeper parts and no one knows what creatures we will find there.
